With its innovative connection between hardware-controller and software-based environments, the Console 1 system from Softube has created a completely new way of working in the studio. With specifically designed wooden racks, Zaor now integrates this system into modern studio environments in an optically and ergonomically perfect way – and evokes reminiscences of vintage analogue consoles
(Softube hardware is NOT included)

Vintage feel and modern ergonomics

The Zaor solution for the perfect placement of Console 1 consists of two pieces: Console 1 Base and Console 1 Top. Even when the base unit is used on its own, it provides a stylish frame for the popular hardware controller. In combination with the Top module, Console 1 and Console 1 Fader constitute a controller system that resembles classic analogue mixing consoles in style and layout. Zaor thus effectively supports Softube's approach of combining the feel and ergonomics of analogue equipment with the advantages of digital working environments.
Fancy base: Zaor Console 1 Base
The Console 1 Base by Zaor holds one controller unit of the Console 1 system in a flat frame and fits both Console 1 and Console 1 Fader. The solid wooden structure tilts the surface by 16 degrees, providing improved access and a perfect overview of all parameters. The available colours include black or natural oak and contribute to the perfect optical integration of the controller in every studio environment. The elegant wooden frame enhances the functionality and clever design of Console 1 with classic aesthetic elements. Several units of Console 1 Base can be combined to create larger mixing surfaces – not to mention the obvious combination with Zaor Console 1 Top.

The right angle: Zaor Console 1 Top

The Zaor Console 1 Top is mounted to the back side of the Base unit and can hold one Console 1 controller. Even though it is possible to install both Console 1 or Console 1 Fader units, the most common way – and the one that most closely resembles the feeling of a classic analogue console – will be to install the faders in the Base and the control knobs in the Top. Console 1 Top lifts the installed unit by an angle of 45 degrees, thus providing the convenient operation of both controllers in a compact and sophisticated frame. Like the Base module, the Top is made of solid wood and constitutes a supplementation of perfect ergonomics and aesthetics.
