Mastering Console V2 is modelled on a tube mastering desk built for Safari's own studio. Filters, EQ, stereo control, de-essing, saturation and limiting all live in one plug-in, in a sensible order.

V2 brings improved filters, a new true-peak limiter, smarter gain staging and a redesigned interface.

What's in the console

• Tube saturation. Clean and Hot modes, with a dedicated saturation filter.
• High- and low-cut filters (improved in V2). Selectable slopes for cleaning up the extremes.
• Shelving EQ. Broad high and low tone shaping.
• Mid/Side matrix. Balance the centre and sides independently.
• De-esser. Amount and Frequency controls to tame harsh sibilance.
• True-peak limiter (new in V2). Input drive and metering to hit loudness targets safely.
• VU-style meters. Input, gain reduction and output at a glance.

• Smart Gain and Link Gain. Loudness-matched decisions, so louder doesn't fool you.
