16-voice polyphonic workstation synth with 600+ sounds, 9 filter types including Roland, Moog, and TB-303 emulations, JP-8000 Supersaw unison, SH-101 arpeggiator, chorus/delay/reverb with ducking, and built-in OTT multiband dynamics.
Rave Station 2 is a 16-voice polyphonic workstation synth inspired by the iconic workstations, samplers, and effects of the mid-90s. With over 600 preset sounds - all tuned to key with multi-sample support - it captures the essence of rave, techno, mid-90s hardcore, eurodance, house, and old school electronic music production. Sounds are organized into eight categories: Bass (deep basses, sub basses, bass leads), FX (risers, impacts, sweeps), Hoover (classic rave hoovers and reeses), Multi (breakbeat, vocal, and drum kits), Organ (organs and keyboard sounds), Stab 1 and Stab 2 (classic stabs and chord hits), and Synth (leads, pads, plucks, and synthesizer sounds). The filter section offers 9 distinct types, each with unique tonal characteristics. LP Clean provides transparent 2-pole filtering. LP Roland 24 is inspired by the Roland IR3109 filter chip with warm, punchy 24 dB response. LP Moog 24 delivers transistor ladder emulation with nonlinear feedback for rich harmonics and musical self-oscillation. HP SVF and BP SVF cover highpass and bandpass duties. Peak and Notch filters handle resonant boosts and frequency rejection. LP FM 12 adds audio-rate frequency modulation where the Drive control affects FM depth. LP 303 authentically emulates the TB-303 diode ladder with distinctive squelch and acidic resonance character. All filters feature pre/post drive positioning, velocity follow, and key tracking. Three independent ADSR envelopes control amplitude, filter cutoff, and pitch. The pitch envelope reaches ±48 semitones for dramatic sweeps and transient design. An 8-waveform LFO (Sine, Triangle, Square, Saw Up/Down, Random, Sample & Hold, and Nord Lead 3 Triple Peak) modulates 9 destinations including filter, pitch, pan, amp, HPF, resonance, drive, and mid frequency, with tempo sync and fade in/out control. The Supersaw unison engine provides up to 9 voices with authentic JP-8000 frequency ratios at the 7-voice setting. Other voice counts use a symmetric Hypersaw algorithm. An independent symmetric detune system adds up to 700 cents of classic chorus-like thickening. Both systems work together for massive, layered textures. A 14-pattern SH-101 inspired arpeggiator offers Up, Down, Up&Down, Down&Up patterns across 1-2 octaves plus wrapped polyrhythm patterns (W3, W4, W5, W6) with 9 tempo divisions and adjustable gate length. The effects chain includes 4-mode chorus (CE-3, JP-8000, Alpha Juno 2 Standard/Matched), ping-pong stereo delay with tempo sync and tone shaping, algorithmic reverb with pre-delay and sidechain ducking, plus built-in OTT multiband dynamics with selectable pre/post positioning. Performance controls include poly/mono voice modes with portamento, stereo width (0-200%), per-voice pan spread, 3-band tone shaping with sweepable mid frequency, pitch bend up to ±24 semitones, and velocity sensitivity.
