Great product, very happy

Love the desk! Exactly what I needed.
My only negative comment would he that this company should try to find a polystyrene alternative.

Great unit

This is one of the sturdiest and most comfortable workstations I've come across. The keyboard stand could be a little better re dynamics for adjustments, but this is one of the better ones I've come across for how cheap it is.

Shipping speed needs to be faster.

It took way too long for my order to ship. I ordered mine on Feb 8 and because of shipping issues it was delivered on March 30. I haven't set it up yet but I've heard it's a good product. Just get your ish together and speed up the shipping.

Wavebone HEADQUARTER™ Z Ergonomic Studio Workstation Review.

Firstly… the crew at Koala Audio did a fantastic job in shipping this to me promptly, especially with the transportation issues as a result of COVID. Well done guys.
Secondly… this is a fantastic product, very sturdy, yet sleek in design. The desktop is very well proportioned, along with a shelf that is wide enough to house my Roland RSM-90 near field monitors, which are fairly deep in design.
The 19 inch racks are also a great feature, meaning I could get some gear out of my studio racks at house them at arms length gaining greater control and visibility.
I also bought the keyboard trolley, which again is a very sturdy product and more than wide enough to hold a full size, fully weighted Digital Piano.
A great product… was easy to assemble and I’m very glad I purchased it.

Great desk. 6 months later

Great bit of kit. I sit at it every day.

Work, Play, Whatever. I'm there. Especially because of lockdown (Victoria)...

The delivery was dismal. To no fault of Koala Audio.
That doesn't take away the fact that this is a great piece of studio furniture.

Looks and feels are on point. Makes a home studio feel like a pro studio.

The keyboard stand is good but, had to slightly modify it to get it to a decent height. It was just a little to low, im quite a tall fellow.
I felt that the height could have been a bit better but as I said, Im tall and that's just the problems I have to deal with.
I ended up swapping the keyboard tray to use as my mouse and typing keyboard and have my controller on top.
Considering it has all the mixing functions, which makes it very far from the screens.

BUT, it's a great desk. Much love to the team at KA for providing decent studio furniture to the Australian masses!

A Great Audio Workstation

Ordered mine and it got to Brisbane within three days! This is a well appointed desk for the price with slots for outboard gear. The back shelf is wide enough to fit my 2 x 21 inch monitor screens and Yamaha monitor speakers which is perfect. Love the fact it’s got cable holes at the back of the shelves. It’s sturdy and firm. One star off - the instructions are quite hard to follow which led to me putting two screws in the wrong place before realising what I’d made a mistake. Otherwise a great desk with plenty of room for gear!

Great Desk

Lovely desk, great build quality and really well finished. One star off for the design of the adjustable trolley, which seems to be only adjustable if you can be bothered removing your keyboard, turning the trolley upside down and unscrewing four Allen key screws. Otherwise great.

Fantastic Work Station

I ordered mine one afternoon & it came the very next morning! Was reasonably easy to set up. Overall am so impressed, not only by how good it looks, but how comfortable it is. Definitely a worthy investment as this will probably be the last desk I’ll ever need to buy.

Loving Wavebone so far!

Very well packaged with adequate protection within the carton. The assembly was pretty quick and easy considering the size of it. Good flexibility with the removable shelves. I would like the keyboard shelf to have more settings on the height as it’s just a little low to my taste, but understand it is relevant to the type of keyboard being used. The overall construction of the desk is very solid and well thought out. Great so Far!

Some quirks but overall I love it

A couple of quirks, but otherwise a beautifully built desk.

I had a minor issue with the assembly of the main desk with one of the screws accidentally going into the wrong place, which I did not realise until afterwards. I decided to leave it in place because it would have been a total pain to fix. While this wasn't a deal-breaker it could have been avoided if the pictures on the instruction sheet had been clearer and/or the screws marked better to distinguish each type more clearly.

The keyboard trolley is also a tad flawed in design. First, it is awkward to take out from underneath as it is super wide, being designed for 88-key keyboards, which is admittedly what I have, but it constantly gets stuck running into either one of the legs so it's almost like the table design did not originally accommodate the keyboard trolley. Secondly, it would have been better if the height-adjust feature was a slide mechanism instead of a screw one. Because of this I've got it in one setting where it's a bit too low, but the next setting would be too high. I've got a Roland A-88 Mk II which is a standard size 88-key keyboard, albeit slightly wider than most, so this height issue seems like a consequence of not enough thought being put into the practicality of it. The solution would be of course to take it out from under the desk, but that's the whole reason I bought it, to put the whole thing under the desk as shown in the pictures! Lastly, the wheels on the front of the trolley could have been rotating ones, like those you see on shopping trolleys. This would have made it a lot easier to move around. But as it is the trolley is not easy to move around. Not a complete deal-breaker but I may have thought twice about getting the trolley had I known it was going to be like this.

But beyond all this, the main desk is an amazing desk. It is very sturdy and the overall build quality is top notch. I got the wood finish which is aesthetically pleasing. All my friends who have seen it want to get one too, and a couple of them don't even make any music. It is my best music-related purchase to date, and without a doubt the best desk I have ever purchased period.

Side-note: I got the optional cable management tray but I can't see how it is going to do too much to help my particular situation so it's sitting in a corner unattached.

Bloody great desk mate!

Spacious, material is quality and most importantly can fit my 88 keys piano under the desk. Wouldn't change a thing about it
