Cranborne Audio N8 C.A.S.T. Distribution Hub

The N8 is a passive C.A.S.T. distribution hub that brings Cranborne's audio-over-Cat 5 system to any audio interface with DB25 I/O. It takes eight analogue inputs and eight outputs on DB25 (Tascam wiring) and distributes them over four RJ45 C.A.S.T. ports.

Each C.A.S.T. port carries two inputs and two outputs, so you can connect up to four breakout boxes such as the N22 and N22H for a total of 16 channels of routing, at distances up to 100m on shielded Cat 5e, Cat 6 or Cat 7 cable. Front-panel routing switches let each port receive the same stereo mix, or a separate mix per room or performer.

Like the N22, the N8 is fully passive and balanced throughout, with support for 48V phantom power. It sits in a ruggedised metal case and can be rack mounted with the optional half-rack kit.
