Hollywood Scoring Tools is EastWest's new scoring instrument for the Opus engine. Rather than starting with a single patch, you load a complete Score: a ready-balanced arrangement of orchestral, synth, band, world and choir layers, written and voiced by professional composers from EastWest and Sonuscore. Play it straight away, then pull it apart and make it your own.

There are more than 300 Scores and over 1,000 presets across 14 genres and 12 styles, drawn from 164 instruments. When the idea is working, drag the performance into your DAW as multitrack MIDI and keep writing with your own libraries.

What's inside

• 300+ composer-built Scores. Each comes with instruments, dynamics and effects already chosen to work together, so you're writing music instead of building templates.
• 1,000+ presets in 14 genres and 12 styles. Filter by genre, style, time signature or favourites to find a starting point quickly.
• 164 instruments in five groups. Orchestra (57), Synths (43), Band (20), World (34) and Choirs & Percussion (10).

Shape it your way

• Ten instrument slots. Each has volume, pan, octave, reverb send, solo and mute, plus mod wheel range handles. Swap any instrument from the browser.
• Sound module per slot. Attack and release, a three-band parametric EQ and three insert effect slots with 21 effect types.
• Global reverb. Choose convolution or algorithmic reverb across the whole Score.
• Arpeggiator per slot. Edit note order, rate and velocity for each layer.
• Arrangement keyswitches. Switch between Intro, Main A, Main B and Outro sections live, with a dedicated ending key. Copy patterns between sections.
• Timing control. Set time signature, 1, 2 or 4-bar pattern length, and half-time, normal or double-time feel.
• Save your own Scores. Store unlimited custom Scores as User Scores.
• MIDI export. Drag the whole performance into your DAW as multitrack MIDI, one track per slot.
• NKS ready. Browse and play from Native Instruments keyboards.

Who it's for: Composers writing for film, TV, games and trailers who need to sketch ideas quickly or hit tight deadlines. It's also a strong starting point for producers new to orchestral writing, and pairs naturally with Hollywood Orchestra Opus Edition if you already own it.
