Karanyi Sounds Voicemax Vocal Tuning & Harmony Plug-In (Digital Download)

Tune the lead, stack the harmonies, all in one plug-in.

Voicemax is the newest member of Karanyi Sounds' Cloudmax family. It corrects a lead vocal in real time, then builds up to four harmony voices that stay in key, so you can go from a single take to a full stack without bouncing tracks or opening a second tuner. Push it further with Brigade and those harmonies become a choir of up to 32 singers.

Tuning

• Real-time correction. Tune Amount, Retune speed and Smoothing take you from barely-there polish to the hard, robotic effect.
• Lead Editor. A piano-roll view for fixing individual notes when automatic tuning isn't enough.

Harmonies

• Up to four voices. Each has its own interval, pan and level, plus Spread and Formant controls so the stack doesn't sound like copies of the lead.
• Scale or fixed interval. Lock harmonies to the song's key, or keep them a set number of semitones from the lead.
• Quick-start presets. Thirds, Octaves, Unison, Deep and Full Stack get you a usable stack in seconds.
• Harmony Builder. Drop chord blocks on a timeline and the four voices sing each chord, which is handy for writing backing parts over a progression.
• Harmony Editor and MIDI export. Edit the harmony notes directly, and export both lead and harmonies as MIDI.
• Brigade. Turns the harmonies into a group of up to 32 singers, placed in a room or hall.

Shaping the sound

• Separate EQ for lead and harmonies, plus a master tilt EQ.
• Push. Overdrive to add bite and presence.
• Re-Pitch. Shift by up to 12 semitones.
• Preset browser with tags and search, and undo that works inside the editors.

Who it's for: producers, songwriters and home-studio vocalists who want tuning and backing harmonies from one plug-in instead of chaining a tuner, a harmoniser and a doubler. It's quick enough for writing sessions and detailed enough to finish a vocal.
