Maag Audio PREQ2 Dual Mic Preamp with EQ

The Maag Audio PREQ2 is a two-channel, 1U rackmount mic preamp with EQ, combining Maag's Air Band with a low-frequency boost and variable high-pass filter. It is all analogue, built in an all-steel chassis and made in the USA.

Each channel provides up to 71dB of gain in two ranges, selected by a +25dB switch, with a large continuous gain control. Inputs include rear XLR mic and line, plus a front 1MΩ instrument input with a buffered thru output for sending to an amp. A -20dB pad, polarity flip and switchable 48V phantom are on every channel, and phantom is kept away from the instrument and line inputs.

The EQ section offers a 12dB/octave high-pass filter variable from 20 to 200Hz, a low boost at 10Hz (Sub) or 40 to 165Hz, and the Air Band shelf at 2.5 to 40kHz. Both boosts give up to 9dB.
