Mixing Night Audio ALLCOMP All-in-One Compressor Plug-In (incl. LOLCOMP)

Five finished compression chains, one dial each. ALLCOMP is the compressor GRAMMY-winning mix engineer Ken Lewis built to replace his own multi-plug-in chains. Pick the chain that suits the source and turn the dial: the whole processing chain moves with it, with automatic gain make-up, so you never chase ratios, thresholds or attack and release times. You mix by ear, not by numbers.

Your licence also includes LOLCOMP, the original version with the same sound and a playful game-style interface. Presets move freely between the two, so use whichever look you prefer.

The five chains

• Vocals – crisp, expensive-sounding lead and backing vocals in one move
• Low End – controlled 808s, bass guitar, synth bass and kicks that still cut through the mids
• Punch – attack and urgency for drums, percussion and rap vocals
• Smooth – the most transparent chain, for natural levelling with a little sparkle
• Heat – from musical saturation to full destruction, blended to taste with the Mix knob

Tone-shaping modules

• LEVITATE tilt EQ to thin a sound out or make it heavier
• MASH limiter for control and extra push
• AWAKEN exciter for the mids or the air band
• OXIDATE reverb with Ken's most-used reverb styles
• Lo- and hi-cut filters, plus a Mix knob for instant parallel compression
• Presets taken from real mix sessions by Ken Lewis and Dom Rivinius

Where it shines

Vocals, 808s and bass, drum buses and breaks, and any track that needs "something" when you're not sure what. It is equally useful for beginners who want pro results fast and for engineers who want to collapse a four-plug-in chain into one insert.
