Crosley Record Players

Rediscover the joy of vinyl with Crosley's classic and portable record players. Shop vintage-inspired designs at great prices.

Crosley makes the record player most people actually buy first. The appeal is straightforward: everything you need is in the box. Speakers, amplifier, cartridge and Bluetooth are all built in, so there is no separate amp, no phono stage, no speaker wire and no research required before you can play a record.

We hve the portable Cruiser and Voyager, the Lancaster and Brio shelf systems, the C72 console, plus replacement needles and record storage.

Which Crosley should you buy?

Cruiser — the portable one

The suitcase turntable Crosley is known for. Folds shut, carries by a handle, plays anywhere there is a power point. Bluetooth out lets you send it to a larger speaker when you want more than the built-in drivers can give. The obvious choice as a gift or a first deck.

Voyager — Cruiser with more

The same portable format with a better cartridge and a cleaner presentation. There is also a Voyager with a built-in CD player if you have a disc collection as well as vinyl.

Brio, Lancaster and C72 — the shelf systems

Furniture rather than luggage. Larger cabinets with proper stereo separation, Bluetooth in and out, and in the bigger models FM radio and CD. These suit a living room where the record player is meant to be seen as well as heard.

Accessories

Replacement needles — the NP-15 and its siblings — plus record storage stands. The stylus is a consumable; see the FAQ below on when to change it.

What Crosley is good at, and what it is not

We would rather be straight with you than sell you the wrong thing.

Crosley is right if you want to play records tonight without building a system, if you are buying a gift, if you need something portable, or if vinyl is a pleasure rather than a pursuit. The all-in-one design is the whole point, and at this price nothing else does it as neatly.

Crosley is not right if you are chasing sound quality above all else, if you own valuable or rare pressings, or if you already have an amplifier and speakers you want to feed. In those cases a separates turntable with a proper cartridge into your existing system will sound considerably better for similar money. We stock those too — see turntables and record players.

If you are unsure which side of that line you sit on, tell us what you are playing and what you already own, and we will say so plainly.

Setting up and looking after it

  • Level surface. A turntable that is not level tracks unevenly and wears records faster. A phone spirit level app is enough.
  • Away from the speakers. On an all-in-one, cabinet vibration reaches the stylus. Keep the volume sensible and the unit on something solid.
  • Change the needle. Roughly every 12 months of regular use, or sooner if playback sounds harsh or sibilant. A worn stylus damages records — this is the single most important maintenance job.
  • Store records upright. Stacked flat, vinyl warps. Our record storage stands exist for this reason.
  • Close the lid. Dust on a record is audible within a few plays.

Crosley record players — frequently asked questions

Do Crosley record players damage your records?

Not inherently, but a worn stylus will, and that is true of any turntable. The concern you will read online comes from older models with heavier tracking force and ceramic cartridges, which wear vinyl faster than a properly set up separates deck. In practice: replace the needle roughly every twelve months, keep the unit level, and do not play irreplaceable pressings on an all-in-one. For everyday records, a well-maintained Crosley is fine.

Do Crosley record players have built-in speakers?

Yes. Every Crosley turntable we stock has speakers and an amplifier built in, so it works straight out of the box with no separate equipment.

Can I connect a Crosley to Bluetooth speakers?

On the models with Bluetooth out, yes — you can send the audio to a Bluetooth speaker or soundbar instead of using the built-in drivers, which is the easiest way to get bigger sound. Check the individual product listing, as not every model in the range includes it. Some models also have Bluetooth in, which lets you play from your phone through the unit.

How often should I replace the needle?

About every twelve months with regular use, or sooner if you hear distortion, harshness or sibilance that was not there before. Needles are inexpensive and replacing one is far cheaper than replacing worn records.

What is the difference between the Cruiser and the Voyager?

Both are portable suitcase-style players. The Voyager sits a step above the Cruiser with an improved cartridge and better presentation, and there is a Voyager variant that includes a CD player. If it is purely about carrying it around, the Cruiser does the job for less.

Can I connect a Crosley to my stereo system?

Some models have RCA outputs that let you run into an amplifier or powered speakers. Check the listing for the specific model. If feeding an existing hi-fi is your main goal, though, a separates turntable is the better buy — the all-in-one design exists to avoid needing one.

Do Crosley turntables play all record sizes?

The range covers the three standard speeds — 33⅓, 45 and 78 rpm — so 12-inch albums, 7-inch singles and older 78s all play. Check the individual listing to confirm which speeds a given model supports.
